What's up, I'll talk about the "cordillera" in pto ingeniero Ibañez. I'm sure that place is not how you imagine it, because here in Santiago the cordillera is seen from any side, but in the Aysen region we are ON the cordillera, so it's not a wall of mountains that is found, but just some high hills. The area where I went was so damn far so we had to pass through a virgin and extensive forest, I went with my family and my grandparents were the guides because they always went to that area and knew the way perfectly. The area that I'm talking about was like a huge green meadow, with a really small river coming out from under the ground, and at the end of this lil river there is only one mountain and you could climb it without problems. In the distance you could see absolutely everything but it was too far, we were so high that there was a lack of oxygen, you got tired super quickly and you had to take big breaths so you wouldn't get sleepy. At the top there was a small wooden cabin that my grandfather built and we slept there, every morning there was snow and it melted in a few hours. It felt peaceful and free.
Here is a picture, we were still halfway there.
